Based in NYC, Melissa is an experienced actor with film and theatre credits. First introduced to the stage at the age of 10, she studied musical theatre in high school and went on to perform in college productions. After graduating, Melissa began her career as a professional writer and soon continued her acting. Although Melissa can still be seen on stage, she has set her sights on film and television. For the past two years, she has been training exclusively with on-camera acting teachers and casting directors. She has studied at the Penny Templeton Studio, the T. Schreiber Studio & Theatre, The Actor’s Green Room, and The PIT (Peoples Improv Theater).

Fall ’11: Melissa landed a role in the feature film Imogene, starring Kristen Wiig and Annette Bening, and filmed in NYC in September. Recent callbacks include a producer/director session for a role on Over/Under, a new USA pilot, and a producer/director session for Crew Six, a movie project for ABC. She is currently taking a a British dialect class with Page Clements at T. Schreiber and looking forward to beginning scene study classes with Peter Jensen in January.
