Based in NYC, Melissa is an experienced actor with film and theatre credits. First introduced to the stage at the age of 10, she studied musical theatre in high school and went on to perform in college productions. After graduating, Melissa began her career as a professional writer and soon continued her acting. Although Melissa can still be seen on stage, she has set her sights on film and television. For the past year, she has been training exclusively with on-camera acting teachers and casting directors.
From October to January, Melissa was filming in Boston, MA, where she played the lead in a two-part independent feature (Pentatonic Productions). Since January, she has been cast in seven short films. Her most recent work includes playing the lead role in “Retrieval” (working title), a short film shot in Bronxville, NY, as well as one of the lead roles in “Legacy,” shot in New Jersey, Brooklyn, and NYC. She is currently finishing work on her third film and lead performance of the summer, “Best Friends,” shooting in Brooklyn.
